Engine

The IAME X30 125cc RL-TaG is a 1-cylinder 2-stroke water cooled engine and it is the result of the combination of technical innovations directly derived from IAME's long racing tradition and the experience achieved in more than 10 years of TaG engines development. The result of such union is a high performance and high reliability engine. The cranckcase and the cylinder are made in aluminium alloy and the liner is in cast iron, ensuring high stability and high fluency and a very high precision of the transferts and the exhaust ports. The cranckshaft is made of cemented and tempered steel and is supported by oversized roller bearings, the countershaft allows a perfect overall balance and a drastic reduction in vibrations.

The digital ignition provides the power to start the engine and to charge the battery. The electronic box controls the advance timing and the spark generation, it limits the rpms at 16.000, manages the start/stop of the engine and includes the tension regulator. The centrifugal dry clutch with detachable sprocket requires minimal service. The diaphragm carburettor, a key feature in Karting engines, is the Tryton HB27-C specifically made for the X30. The inlet silencer is originally equipped with an air filter to implement the reliability of the engine and to avoid problems caused by accidental intake of filth. The engine is provided with all needed accessories for the correct functioning: complete exhaust system, radiator, water pump, supports, clamps and hoses, thermostat, wires and keys block.

The X30 engine is also available in the Junior version with a 29mm restricted exhaust header, intended for younger drivers. The youngest drivers use the engine with a 23 mm exhaust restrictor and the rpm is limited to 14000.
